Beauty> Daily Skin Care

Does skin care regimen sound dull and boring? How can it be, when all it does is make your face look clean and fresh! Skin care regimen is neither time consuming, expensive or hard work. Skin care regimen essentially consists of three steps – cleansing, scrubbing and moisturizing and its over, even before you know it.

Cleanse
Irrespective of whether you have used make up or not, before a bath, cleanse your face with a toner. This will remove the impurities lodged in the skin pores. As far as possible, avoid using a bar soap on your face. Use a soap free face wash like Garnier’s Soap Free Face Wash. Also, avoid washing your face too often with a face wash or soap. Overuse of a face wash or soap will rid your facial skin of essential oils that is necessary for your face. The ideal way to remove make up and dirt from pollution would be – massage a cleansing lotion on your face and neck. Wet a cotton wool, squeeze out the excess water and gently clean your face, from neck upwards. Follow this with a face-wash for the final cleansing touch.

Scrub
You can indulge a little more here. Get in the habit of using a face scrub once a week. This will not only remove the dead cells, clean clogged pores and remove black heads, but your face will look cleaner and healthier. Don’t be harsh while using the scrub. Massage gently, wash it off with water and pat dry.

Moisturize
Finally, depending on your skin type – whether its oily, dry or combination skin you can pick up a face cream to be used especially after a bath. This is completely optional, as a lot of people don’t like using creams, so there’s no compelling here. But a daily routine of cleansing, scrubbing and moisturising the face, can turn even the most plane face to a million dollar one.

Habits
The saying beauty is skin deep is definitely true. In the case of habits, its best to avoid smoking and drinking as that will result in premature skin aging. Drinking six to eight glasses of water daily is a must to cleanse your body of all the toxins. Yoga, meditation or any kind of physical exercises such as brisk walking, sports are a must for proper blood circulation and thereby making you healthy and fit. Eating right is a must. By avoiding artificially flavoured, oily and fatty food items you do a favour to your skin. Fruits, veggies, salads and juices along with your usual diet will surely do you good. Ensure you get enough sleep, so that you not only feel fresh, but your body gets time to relax and start a new day afresh. Finally, keep smiling, be happy so that your face looks pleasant always and it doesn’t cost a penny!
